During recent Nintendo event, Nintendo announced to bring SEGA Genesis / SEGA Mega Drive games into Nintendo Switch via Nintendo Switch Online. Not only that, Nintendo also announced the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive controller to play the SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive games on it. Unfortunately, as excited as I am and many others to play SEGA classic games on Nintendo modern console, Nintendo only release a 3-button SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive controller for all regions except Japan. Only in Japan, Nintendo releases the 6-button SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive controller. So if you are not living in Japan, you won’t get the 6-button SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive controller for Nintendo Switch.
Luckily, after searching for alternatives, I found not only good alternative but also it’s cheaper in price and has a good quality (and rather good brand as well).
- This article shares alternative to SEGA Genesis / Mega Drive controller for Nintendo Switch that has 6-button.

- It’s a Bluetooth controller, works as well as wired controller via USB-C
