In Just 1 Month iPhone 7 Jet Black LCD Screen Bleeds and Flickers Plus Paint Starts Peeling

iPhone 7 JetBlack LCD Screen Bleeds and Flickers

It’s just about 1 month plus since Apple began sending iPhone 7 and 7 Plus to its customers, my wife’s iPhone 7 Jet Black LCD screen started to show issues and became faulty a few days back. Although there was nothing wrong with the touch screen but the screen itself was flickered and showed green, blue, white and black color. Prior to that, there was no dropping nor water damaged to the iPhone 7.
Here what the iPhone looks like:

After I did thorough checking, I found that not only the screen is having problem, turned out the paint on the body of iPhone 7 started to peel as well.

To take note, she is always using silicone case all along and like I said earlier, never dropped the iPhone. So I do believe it’s Apple quality control issues.

Luckily it’s happening just a month after purchase and the iPhone is still under warranty. So last weekend, I managed to come to Apple Authorized Service Center to get the iPhone 7 checked and replaced.

Apple Changing Rules

I can’t say the rule is changing world-wide, but in Singapore, last time Apple (through its Authorized Service Center) will just replace the faulty iPhone with the new/refurbish set once they spotted manufacturer issues like what is happening to my wife iPhone 7 – I did few times before, bring faulty devices to them and get it replaced the same day. But instead of getting replacement on the spot and directly, the service man took the iPhone and told me they are going to send it to Apple for further inspection. They said, Apple could replace your iPhone 7 only if they think it’s not repairable, if it’s repairable then they will just replace the faulty part.
To me, the new regulation is somewhat annoying,  because instead of giving replacement directly on spot, they took the iPhone  but not giving her a loaner device. So if she doesn’t have other phones with her, she won’t be contactable during the service took place.
Hi Apple, why are you doing this?
First is QC problems, second is changing rules that leave customers without phones.
Are you guys experiencing the same? Either iPhone 7 screen become faulty and/or iPhone-service-issue-doesn’t-get-replacement-directly?

I’ve been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the internet will be much more useful than ever before.

Mine has been doing the screen thing for about a month now and I’ve only had it for roughly 3-4 months. It started off to be a one off and now it gets stuck like that for minutes so I am taking it back to the Apple store this week.

Yeah, take it back to Apple Store. They’ll replace it for you for FREE if yours is still under warranty.
